Development: Rem Koolhaas monument

Architect: Rem Koolhaas
Concept: Regular is irregular in terms of tesselation

 First two progress of development:

As I developed my monument design, I found it difficult to make large developments, but only small additions of detail and structure were done. Therefore, I decided to keep the idea of repeating vertical and horizontal structure to relate to the concept of "Regular is irregular in terms of tesselation," but make changes to the overall form in my next development.

Third development:
I was unhappy with this development because it had the idea of 'regularity' but didn't have much of the 'irregular' effect and therefore, I was unsuccessful in terms of following my concept. Also, it looked very plain and uniteresting due to its simple structure.

Fourth development:
My previous designs of development were much horizontally structured, but in this design, I focused on the vertical structure instead because when I imported my previous designs, it was very difficult to make the design fit in to the natural environment. All of them looked very out of place and unnatural. Therefore, I thought of ways I could make the monument fit the environment with a better flow, and my final solution was to choose a specific area of the environment where I want the monument to be placed and develop the design which is suitable for this specific environment.
